Tender, flavorful chicken that falls apart beautifully, soaking up a delicious barbecue sauce for a perfect weeknight meal or weekend gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, trimmed of excess fat
  • 1 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crockpot: Spray the inside of a large crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Season the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. Mix the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Combine with Chicken: Pour the sauce over the chicken breasts in the crockpot, ensuring they are coated.
  5. Cook: Cover and cook on high for 2.5 to 3 hours or on low for 5 to 6 hours until cooked through.
  6. Shred the Chicken: Shred the chicken in the crockpot using two forks.
