A quick and satisfying dish bringing the vibrant flavors of Asian cuisine with tender chicken, crunchy vegetables, and savory sauces.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 cup chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (e.g., bell peppers, carrots, broccoli)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Boil the chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  2. Cook the chicken: In a large pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken and cook until it is browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add aromatics: Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in vegetables: Add the mixed vegetables to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Combine sauces: Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, mixing well before adding the cooked chow mein noodles.
  6. Toss together: Gently toss everything together until well combined and heated through, roughly 2-3 minutes.
  7. Season and garnish: Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Do not overcook the noodles to maintain a nice texture, and use high heat for stir-frying to keep veggies crunchy.
