Soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies, perfect for sharing with family and friends. Easy to make and customizable for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Scoop dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between cookies.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
