Delightfully spooky chocolate-covered strawberries perfect for Halloween gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Dark chocolate chips (for dipping)
  • White chocolate chips (for decoration)
  • Black and/or brown food coloring (for detailing)
  • Candy eyes (for a spooky touch)
  • Parchment paper (for setting the strawberries)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry strawberries thoroughly under cool water. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Melt dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler in short bursts of 30 seconds, stirring in between until smooth.
  3. Dip each strawberry by holding it by the green leaves and swirling it in the melted dark chocolate. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing on parchment paper.
  4. Cool the dipped strawberries on parchment paper until chocolate hardens, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Melt white chocolate in a separate bowl, stirring in a few drops of black food coloring until desired shade is achieved.
  6. Decorate with ghost face features using a piping bag filled with black chocolate.
  7. Add candy eyes on each ghost face while the black chocolate is still soft.
  8. Final cooling: Allow decorated strawberries to set completely at room temperature before serving.

Notes

Choose larger strawberries for better durability. Ensure ingredients are dry for better chocolate adherence. Work quickly to prevent chocolate from hardening before completing the decoration.
