A quick and easy homemade pepperoni pizza that’s customizable and budget-friendly.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone if you have one.
  2. Shape the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Add the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  5. Layer the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
  6. Finish by brushing the outer crust with olive oil.
  7. Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  8. Cool the pizza for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For a smoky flavor, add cooked bacon or sausage. Let the pizza cool briefly before slicing to avoid messy cuts.
