Easy and satisfying homemade biscuits that are soft and flaky, perfect for breakfast or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the milk and stir gently until just combined.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface 3-4 times until it holds together.
  6. Roll the dough out to about 1-inch thick and cut into circles.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Keep butter and milk cold for best results. Avoid overworking the dough.
