Ingredients
1 pound pork tenderloin
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
Salt and pepper to taste
Green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Honey Garlic Mixture: In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and rice vinegar. Set aside.
Season the Pork: Go ahead and season the pork tenderloin with salt and pepper on all sides.
Sear the Pork: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned pork and sear on all sides until browned, about 3-5 minutes per side.
Add the Sauce: Pour the honey garlic mixture over the pork. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, turning the pork occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
Thicken the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water until smooth. Stir this mixture into the skillet and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Serve: Slice the pork tenderloin and drizzle the glaze over the top. Garnish with green onions, if desired.
Notes
Use low-sodium soy sauce for a healthier option. Let the pork rest before slicing for juicier meat.
