A creamy and comforting meal featuring tender shrimp in a buttery garlic sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or fettuccine)
  • 1 pound Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they become pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and allow it to melt. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, if using. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Return the shrimp to the skillet. Add the cooked pasta, lemon juice, and parsley. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water until you reach your desired sauce consistency.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley and grated Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Don’t overcook the shrimp or the pasta. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
