An easy and comforting dish that combines creamy sauces with tender chicken and pasta, all cooked in a slow cooker for a family-friendly meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1.5 tbsp garlic (freshly minced)
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz Alfredo sauce
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 16 oz pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 cup mozzarella (shredded)
  • Parmesan (freshly grated)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: In a small bowl, combine salt, pepper, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Mince the fresh garlic and shred the mozzarella from a block.
  2. Prep the Slow Cooker: Lightly grease the slow cooker pot, add chicken, sprinkle seasoning over it, and add minced garlic, marinara sauce, Alfredo sauce, and chicken broth.
  3. Cook the Chicken: Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours until the chicken is tender.
  4. Shred the Chicken: Remove the cooked chicken and shred it on a cutting board.
  5. Melt the Cheese: Return the shredded chicken to the pot and stir in mozzarella until melted.
  6. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water, cook pasta until al dente, then drain.
  7. Combine and Serve: Add drained pasta to the slow cooker, fold it into the mixture, and serve topped with Parmesan and parsley.
