Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes (starchy like Russets)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Garlic powder
  • Cheddar cheese (for garnish)
  • Black olives (for decorating eyes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the potatoes by washing and peeling them, then cutting into skull shapes.
  3. Season the potato skulls with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Arrange the potato skulls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy.
  6. Cool slightly, then decorate with black olives and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Serve warm as Halloween appetizers.

Notes

For extra crispiness, turn on the broil setting for the last 2-3 minutes, but watch carefully to prevent burning.
