Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 packet of gravy mix (your choice)
1 cup of chicken broth
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Sear the chicken: Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Sear them until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Prepare the gravy mixture: In your slow cooker, combine the gravy mix with the chicken broth, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Stir well to ensure everything is blended.
Combine everything: Place the seared chicken in the slow cooker, coating each piece with the gravy mixture.
Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the chicken is tender. Avoid lifting the lid during cooking.
Serve: Once cooked, serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta, pouring the gravy on top.
