Ingredients
500g chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, minced
1-2 fresh red chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon sesame oil
Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
Marinate the chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it sit for about 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Heat the oil: In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering but not smoking.
Cook the chicken: Add the marinated chicken to the pan. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned and cooked through.
Add the vegetables: Stir in the sliced bell peppers, minced garlic, ginger, and fresh chilies. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
Season and finish: Season the mixture with salt according to your taste. Drizzle sesame oil on top for added flavor, stirring to combine.
Serve: Transfer the dish to a serving platter or individual plates and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot.
Notes
For a lower sodium option, use low-sodium soy sauce. To reduce heat, use fewer chilies.
